Introduction to Ethical AI - Trusted Industrial AI Literacy Course

Course Synopsis

This course equips technical professionals with the AI literacy and responsible AI practices needed to confidently work with AI-enabled solutions. Participants will explore common AI risks—including inaccurate outputs, bias, data privacy, cybersecurity threats, unsafe automation and over-reliance—and learn practical ways to mitigate them. The course also introduces key AI governance frameworks and Singapore-relevant guidelines, enabling participants to apply responsible AI principles to realistic workplace scenarios.

Course Objectives

AI Fundamentals

• Understand the supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning and related risks regarding human bias, data privacy, and system safety

• Recognize responsible AI development and how AI is applied across real-world systems and industries (e.g., automation, fintech, healthcare, logistics, smart infrastructure),

AI Ethics and Governance

• Apply key governance frameworks (such as TIA-Ready, EU AI Act, ISO/IEC 42001, SS TR 139 and MAS/Singapore Model AI Governance guidance) to real-world projects

• Design and evaluate AI systems that are fair, transparent, and accountable — especially when integrating, deploying, or supporting AI in a production environment

Course Fee

Note: This course is a foundational AI literacy programme. Completion indicates that participants have been introduced to responsible AI use, risk awareness, data protection, workplace rules, safety expectations and relevant governance concepts. It does not qualify participants as AI risk assessors, IAELs, auditors, legal or compliance advisers, ISO/IEC 42001 implementers, or TIA-Ready assessors.
